Though Hungary has a history of rigid Soviet regime, its social attitudes are changing and the air here will definitely be more liberal and relaxed than in days gone by. You will note that most Hungary gay bars can be found in its capital city of Budapest where the gay community is strong and active. Homosexuality is no longer illegal here, and Budapest is home to many active gay events and also to many Hungary gay bars.
